Te Aponga Uira (TAU) is seeking a Project Manager.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, this role is key to the successful delivery of infrastructure and service projects within TAU. Responsibilities include managing tender processes, scoping initiatives with external specialists, overseeing project lifecycles, and ensuring delivery aligns with regulatory, safety and operational standards.

This role is offered for a fixed term of three years, aligned with TAU’s current capital programme.

You will manage projects from initiation through to commissioning and close-out, with accountability for safety, quality, timeliness and financial performance.

The portfolio includes both capital works and operational improvement projects, including a new 2MW solar farm as well as day-to-day network initiatives.

You will interact with internal teams, contractors, suppliers and community stakeholders across the island.

Skills & Experience

• Experience delivering projects within the electricity supply industry

• Strong project management disciplines and methodologies

• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project

• Relevant engineering and/or project management qualifications

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capability

• A collaborative and people-centric approach

• A track record of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
