About the Role

As the HSE Coordinator, you will play a key support role to the Rarotonga HSEQ team. You’ll be responsible for managing document control, assisting with compliance and audits, preparing safety reporting, and coordinating HSEQ meetings, events, and initiatives.

The role also provides short-term HSEQ support to project sites as required, ensuring consistency and alignment with McConnell Dowell’s Zero Harm culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of HSEQ policies, procedures, and safety initiatives

• Maintain HSEQ document control systems and manage incident/hazard registers

• Prepare and submit HSEQ reporting and statistics for internal and external requirements

• Assist with audits, compliance activities, and safety-related documentation

• Coordinate HSE meetings, events, and wellbeing initiatives across Fiji

• Provide administrative support to the HSEQ team and short-term site support when needed

• Assist with injury management processes and communication with relevant stakeholders

About You

You’ll enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have the organisation, initiative, and attention to detail needed to support a national HSEQ function.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in administration, document control, or HSEQ-related support roles

• Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines

• Proficient data analysis and reporting skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong computer skills, especially in MS Office

• A commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
