IT Technician

CIPS Electronics, the leading supplier of all electronics, and a major part of Cook Islands Printing Services Ltd, is seeking an experienced IT Technician to join our team on a full time basis. 

In this role, you will be responsible for providing support and maintenance to its customers, both pre and post sales, and to the internal business units for our company's information and communication technology infrastructure. 

This is a crucial position that will ensure the smooth and reliable operation of our valued customers systems.

What you'll be doing

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer hardware, software, and network issues.

• Perform regular maintenance and upgrades on IT equipment, including servers, workstations, and networking devices.

• Assist with the implementation and configuration of new software and hardware solutions.

• Maintain and update IT documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures.

• Collaborate with the wider team to identify and address IT-related challenges.

• Ensure the security and integrity of our IT systems, including implementing backup and disaster recovery measures

What they're looking for

• Minimum 4 years of experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role

• Strong technical skills in computer hardware, software, and network administration

• Familiarity with a range of operating systems, including Windows and Linux as well as Apple and Android.

• Networking, Security & Control.

• Cloud storage migration.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Good communication and customer service abilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
